I bought the Contessa. I saved $300 plus over the Aeron as well as shipping costs, because the warehouse is very close to the showroom. With the help of the warehouseman, the inverted chair fit neatly in the back seat of my compact car, its back between the front seat and the rear cushion, the arms resting on the rear seat cushion, and the seat and legs sticking up in the air. That saved another $70. I've had the chair now for about a month. Its very comfortable, solidly built. Its got controls for tension, lower back support, arm height and angle, seat back infinite tilt position, seat height, and seat distance forward and back from backrest. Like the Aeron, the Contessa has the cool mesh seat and back which I wanted, or other materials and colors if you prefer. Comparable quality to the Aeron and much easier to adjust.
